Fees
All ten-week courses are £50.00, payable in full at the end of the first lesson please.
If you are unable to attend a class, you are welcome to make it up by attending another morning class or one of the Tuesday evening classes.
This must be done during the ten weeks of the course, it cannot be carried over to the next course.
Tuesday evening classes are £5.00 a lesson, payable on the night.
We start with the basics, but move up to advanced work very quickly.
Equipment
In all classes, including Gundogs, dogs must be brought on a flat buckled collar and lead. Any other equipment will be introduced as necessary. CHOKE CHAINS AND CHAIN LEADS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. For those with strong, pulling dogs, we stock special harnesses - they do work!
Kennel Cough
All dogs coming to Foxdown must now be covered for kennel cough. The new vaccine is now 12 months of the old 4 months, so I now feel that for the benefit of my own and all visiting dogs it is necessary, especially as the kennel cough virus is getting stronger as the years go on.

Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Classes: (Tollers)
This is a special Toller only class every Friday evening at 7.15pm. We have a lot of fun; our activities include dog racing, agility, flyball and anything else we fancy doing.
Anyone genuinely interested in owning a Toller is very welcome to visit and meet the people and the dogs.
For anyone looking for a Toller, puppies are available at regular intervals.
These classes will be held on Monday evening starting at 7pm
Course Dates:
This class is now going to be Working Trials - see below.
Gundogs and Scurry Training
One mixed ability class for puppies and young dogs just starting and for dogs that have reached a good basic level. The training will take you up to a good working or competition standard as required.
Owners of pet dogs who prefer the more formal type of training can also attend the class.
If the class is too big or the difference in the abilities of the dogs too great, then a second class will be started.
We have found that dogs seem to learn a lot faster if they learn the basics in one of the clicker classes before joining the gundog course. We have had some excellent results.
These classes are held on Monday evening through summer but we will change to Sunday mornings during the autumn & winter months.

Course Dates - Beginners:
Tuesday 27th April to 29th June 2010 at 10am
Saturday 1st May to 3rd July 2010 at 10am

Click and Treat
This method of training has become extremely popular and is very different from most types of training you will have done before. It is similar to that used by dolphin trainers. Humans new to this will need a very open mind. You will need time between classes to practice, little and often. We have had fantastic results, having turned around dogs where other methods have failed. There is no force involved, this is fun and stress free. The dogs can't wait to do more.
If you still need convincing come and see our established classes.
Equipment you will need to provide are some very tasty titbits, that your dog really likes, not boring dog biscuits! The treats should be no more than pea sized.
Clickers are available for £3.00 and touch sticks for £4.50. Clicker Booklets are available for £3.00.
I have started puppies as young as five weeks and have worked with older dogs, up to 14 years old, with amazing results!!!
We start with the basics, but move up to advanced work very quickly. During the classes we cover obedience, agility, flyball and fun things.
These classes are run Tuesday and Saturday mornings and made up of courses, each one lasting ten weeks, or weekly classes on Tuesday evenings.

Working Trials
Working trials classes will include
Control eg. heel work, recall, sit and down stays.
Agility eg. clear jump and long jump.
Nosework eg. search and track.
The class is only open to new students that have already done at least one course of click and treat
and have reached a reasonable standard ie; dog will sit - sit/down stay - walk to heel off lead, come when called etc.
These classes will be held on Monday evening starting at 7pm
Course Dates:
19th July 2010 to 20th September 2010
