Class to Teach Tricks
Some people have asked about a class to teach their dogs tricks, things like waving goodbye and rolling over. If you would be interested in attending a course like that, please let us know, either when you attend one of the other classes or by using this link.

Our dog training covers basic obedience for puppies upwards, gundogs  and agility. Most of the training is done using the clicker (click and treat) method

Venue
All classes will be held at Foxdown Dog Training Centre, Culmhead, Taunton
For Gundogs other venues will be used as appropriate. Training areas include grass, hard surface and an undercover area.

Equipment
In all classes, including Gundogs, dogs must be brought on a flat buckled collar and lead. Any other equipment will be introduced as necessary. CHOKE CHAINS AND CHAIN LEADS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. For those with strong, pulling dogs, we stock special harnesses - they do work!

Kennel Cough
All dogs coming to Foxdown must now be covered for kennel cough. The new vaccine is now 12 months of the old 4 months, so I now feel that for the benefit of my own and all visiting dogs it is necessary, especially as the kennel cough virus is getting stronger as the years go on.

Fees
All ten-week courses are £50.00, payable at the end of the first lesson please.
Tuesday evening classes are £5.00 a lesson, payable on the night.

Age of Dog
Dogs are accepted at any age but we do like them as soon as they have been vaccinated. We try to make training fun - people and dogs learn better if they are enjoying it. At the end of the lesson, the dogs are let loose, and are allowed to play whilst owners have a cup of tea or coffee. This is a very important part of your dog's development. Please do not expect to rush off at the end of the last exercise, your dog will have been kept busy and will have earned a little light relief.

Instructors
Are properly qualified with the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers (BIPDT).
All instructors will only use kind methods.

Class Size
We aim to keep classes small enough to allow everyone to keep busy.
If a class gets too large we will do our best to form another one.

Private One to One Training
