We will take and rehome most animals as long as we have the knowledge and space to look after them at the time.
We are having to put the price up to £75 for the rescues as we are not a registered charity and all the rescue work is funded by the rest of the business - this is the first price rise for over ten years.
This is still a good price as the RSPCA charge at least £125.
This is not all the dogs we have available so it is worth giving us a ring. At the moment all owner kennels are full so we need to home some before we can help others.
Our policy is not to put anything down without very good reason.
If you feel you could offer a dog a good home please contact the kennels, and arrange to come up and meet them.
If there are no dogs shown on this page, you may wish to contact us in case we have a dog that has not been put on the site yet.
No guarantee's are given.
We cannot accept responsibility for the temperament of any animal once it has been rehomed.
Once a dog has settled into a new home, his behaviour can sometimes alter.
We can only assess a dog on the behaviour it displays whilst in our care.
Please contact the kennels for more information.

Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers
This is Star - she is a Lab x Spaniel - NOT Spayed - great with children - been looked after very well and has not been mistreated.
Star is very strong on the lead and would benefit from a bit of dog training.
She was handed in because she became too much for the owner.
Star now has a new home!
Tia - German shepherd
Came into us quite a few months ago - super temperament - owners had to give her up because they were leaving her 13 hours a day caused by a change in circumstances - she is spayed - chipped - lovely nature - has not shown any aggression to either me or any of the staff - 3 years old - might be too busy for very young children but believed fine with older ones.
Tia has a new home.
Milo - Collie - 8 months old.
Brought in because owner preferred a social life - will be very easy to train, good for agility.
Milo has now gone to a Collie knowledgeable family to join another energetic dog and horse.
Jack Russell cross
He is called Mickey - he is a lovely dog, gets on with other dogs,
friendly, playful - would make a great family pet.
All the pictures are recent pictures of the dogs.
Staffie
Don't normally take a staffie but she is an absolute delight - she is called Betsie and is between 8 and 18 months old, she is not sprayed - very strong and lively but great temperament - got no manners so will need training - has come from a home where she has been much loved but no discipline.
Mastiff - Ellie - lovely dog - super with people - we don"t know her age but we gestimate 5 years. She is not spayed. Fantastic with people but very bad with other dogs
Lurcher
This dog has been with us some time - believed to be a working lurcher but do not have any proof. He is a bit full of himself and possessive over food. Takes a while for him to get to know new people and will not take unreasonable treatment. He has to live outside as his tendency to mark everything is well over developed. We called him Alfred cause he is just like Claud Greengrass's dog! Nice dog but you must have time to get to know him - we would not put him with children - he might be alright but we don"t know.
Jess was with us over 3 years having arrived after being rescued from a very cruel home - tied to a table leg and kicked on a regular basis - never been outside and didn't know how she should behave - she was integrated into the permanent Foxdown pack who did a tremendous job rehabilitating her and around Easter this year a man asked to see her and it was love at first site - she is now living by the sea and sleeps on his bed and very happy.
Some of the dogs we have rehomed.
Jack Russell - back with us after 18 months.
This little old dog came to us after her owner died - she was found a nice home 18 months ago. Unfortunately the people who homed her have had to move house and are not allowed a dog, so she needs a new safe home.
Her eye sight has all but gone but she is still a very cheerful little dog who makes the best of life and will still play with a ball and various toys
This huge dog was abandoned at Foxdown - he was in very poor condition and it took several months to put him right and track down the owners - eventually we were able to re home him with a family who already had
one of these dogs as he needed humans that knew what they were doing.
We had these two lovely lurchers abandoned on the Blackdowns _ aprox
age when dumped was 14 weeks - they got a home together and are very happy.
Another Lurcher had also been abandoned at the same time but he was found a home straight away, he was believed to be the father of these two.
Riley - Shih Tzu boy _ not castrated. Aprox a year old. He is good with other dogs and older children. His last owner had to part with him because he would insist on trying to lie on the new newborn babies face so to avoid a disaster he was reluctantly handed in. He is a lovely dog and has not done anything wrong - we do know he does not like to be left on his own and has a particularly annoying bark if left too long but that seems to be his only fault.
Riley now has a new home.
